midlife transition coaching

Something has shifted. The old answers don't quite fit anymore.

Coaching for men and women who are ready to find their footing again.

You’re in the right place

Midlife has a way of asking questions you didn't know were coming..

The children have grown up, or a relationship has changed, or a health scare has made you stop and think. Perhaps your career feels hollow after years of pouring yourself into it. Or perhaps nothing dramatic has happened at all — and that, somehow, makes it harder to explain.

Whatever has brought you here, one thing tends to be true: the life that worked before doesn't feel like quite enough any more. And the version of you that comes next is still taking shape.

Midlife transition coaching is for anyone in that in-between space - ready, with the right support, to move through it with more clarity, confidence and calm.

you might be feeling

You don't have to tick every box. But if some of these feel familiar - you're in exactly the right place.

  • A quiet sense that something important is missing — even when life looks fine from the outside

  • Anxiety or low mood that seems to come from nowhere

  • A loss of confidence in yourself, your decisions, or your sense of who you are

  • Exhaustion — not just physically, but from years of putting everyone else first

  • A longing for change but uncertainty about where to begin, or whether it's even allowed

  • Grief — for a relationship, a role, a version of yourself, or a future you'd imagined

  • A sense that time is passing and you want to feel more purposeful about what comes next

  • Feeling like you should be grateful — and feeling guilty that you're not entirely

What we work on together

This isn't about fixing you. There is nothing to fix.

Identity & purpose

Who you are beyond the roles you've played — and who you want to become.

Confidence & self-belief

Rebuilding trust in yourself and your own judgement.

Mindset & emotional patterns

Understanding what's holding you back and shifting it at the root.

Health & energy

How nutrition, movement and sleep are affecting how you think and feel every day.

Clarity & direction

Getting specific about what you want — and taking real steps towards it.

Calm & resilience

Managing anxiety, overwhelm and the emotional weight of change.

Where deeper emotional patterns are getting in the way, we can also draw on IEMT - a gentle, highly effective therapy that works without requiring you to relive difficult memories in detail.

A coach who understands from the inside

I know what it means to have your life turned upside down.

Caerey Ball - Online Midlife Transition Coach and Mind Body Specialist - The Wellness Coach

In my thirties, I faced a serious health diagnosis that forced me to stop, reassess and rebuild — physically, mentally and emotionally. That experience, and the decade of professional work that followed, shaped the coach I am today. Someone who doesn't just understand life transition in theory — but has lived his own version of it.

With over ten years of experience across mindset, nutrition, movement and emotional wellbeing — and formal accreditation in IEMT — I bring a genuinely integrative approach. No single tool fits everyone. The work is always shaped entirely around you.

"Real change is possible — at any age, at any starting point, for anyone willing to take that first brave step."

what to expect

Everything starts with a free discovery call.

A relaxed conversation where you can share what you're going through, ask any questions and get a genuine sense of whether this feels like the right fit. No pressure and no obligation.

If you decide to go ahead, we'll work together one-to-one via Zoom — sessions last 60 minutes at a time that suits you. Most clients work with me over 2–4 months, though we'll always discuss what feels right from the start.

Sessions are a space that is entirely yours — to think out loud, to be honest, to ask the questions you haven't felt able to ask elsewhere. Progress tends to come not from dramatic breakthroughs but from consistent, small shifts in perspective and habit that build into something genuinely different.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know before booking.

Is midlife transition coaching just for women going through the menopause?

Not at all. This coaching is for anyone — men and women — navigating a wider range of transitions. Children leaving home, relationship changes, bereavement, career crossroads, health challenges, or simply a quiet but persistent sense that life needs to feel different.

I just feel a bit lost. Is that enough to come?

Absolutely. You don't need to be in the middle of a dramatic life event. Many of my clients come with exactly that feeling — something is off, but they can't quite name what. That's often where the most meaningful work begins.

How is this different from therapy?

Therapy typically focuses on understanding and processing the past. Coaching is more forward-focused. That said, my approach is integrative — where past experiences are getting in the way, I have tools like IEMT that can help address those at a deeper level.

Can I do this if I'm already seeing a therapist or GP?

Yes. Coaching and therapy are complementary, not competing. Many clients work with both simultaneously. I'd always encourage you to maintain any existing professional support you find helpful.

What if I don't know what I want — isn't that a problem?

It's actually the most common starting point. Helping you find clarity about what you want — when you genuinely don't know yet — is very much part of the work.

Is the coaching available online?

Yes. All sessions are via Zoom, which means you can work with me from anywhere in the world, from the comfort of your own home.

The first step is simply a conversation. A free, no-obligation discovery call where you can share what's going on, ask whatever questions you have and get a real sense of whether this feels right for you.

"A lot of clients tell me that just having that first call — being heard without judgement — was itself a relief."
